The Call to Missions
Andy is from Pleasant Acres Free Will Baptist Church, in his hometown of New Bern, North Carolina, where Rev. Scott Coghill pastors. He was saved, baptized, and called to the mission field at a young age under the ministry of Rev. Dean and Rubenia Dobbs. After a struggle with obedience during his teenage years, Andy surrendered to God´s will and went to Southeastern Free Will Baptist College in the fall of 1994, to prepare to go to the mission field.
Andrea was born and raised in Inman, South Carolina. She attended church at First Free Will Baptist Church, Inman, where Rev. Earl Hendrix pastors. She was saved at the age of eight, and at age 16, during a revival service with Dr. Joe Ange, she received and surrendered to the call of missions.
At Southeastern, Andy and Andrea both served as summer missionaries. Andrea went to Panama, Andy to Brazil. It was during his time in Brazil, with missionary family, Tom and Nancy Hughes, that Andy felt lead to serve in Brazil. Andy and Andrea began dating in 1995, and where married in July of 1997. They graduated from Southeastern in 1998, and went back to New Bern to serve in Andy’s home church and prepare to go to Brazil. The Moore’s were commissioned in December 2000, and on January 1, 2001, they journeyed to Brazil to begin their ministry.
Andy and Andrea have two children, Levi (10/19) and Lily (10/10).
